Sodium Sulphate, Sodium Percarbonate, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Hydrated Silica, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Paraffinum Liquidum, Sodium Metasilicate, +/-4-Amino-m-Cresol,+/- 2-Amino-6-Chloro-4-Nitrophenol, +/- p-Phenylenediamine Sulfate, +/- 4-Amino-2-Hydroxytoluene, +/- HC Yellow No. 2, +/- 1,5 Naphthalenediol, +/-1-Hydroxyethyl 4, 5-Diamino Pyrazole Sulfate, +/-p-Aminophenol, +/-Toluene-2, 5-Diamine Sulfate.

This product contains PPD and PTD/TDS to cover grey, which may cause skin irritation for certain individuals. Always skin test 48 hours before use as directed in our leaflet.

This product must not be used for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows.

Avoid contact with eyes. If product gets into eyes, rinse immediately with water. If any irritation occurs, seek medical advice.

NOT FOR USE BY CHILDREN UNDER 16.

Store Colour Pouch in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.

Packaging has a maximum shelf life of 12 months.

INSTRUCTIONS

HOW TO USE H20 HAIR COLOUR

SKIN SENSITIVITY TEST

ALWAYS SKIN TEST 48 HRS BEFORE USE

Allergies are personal and a minority of people may react to one of our ingredients. This can change over time, so even if you’ve used Natural Colour Works™ H20 Water Colour before, we recommend that you ALWAYS skin test 48 hours before use.
Take a pinch of Natural Colour Works™ H20 Water Colour powder from the pouch and mix it with a few drops of water in a small bowl. Use a kitchen clip to reseal the pouch immediately and make sure it doesn’t get wet.
Wash a small patch of skin inside your elbow and behind your ear. Pat dry. Apply some of the colour mixture to these areas with cotton wool.
Allow to dry for 48hrs.
If you feel any irritation, redness, swelling or burning during this time, it’s likely that you’ve got an allergy to one of the ingredients and you shouldn’t use it.

GET STARTED

Please read all instructions carefully and always protect your clothes and home from colour staining. Use old towels.

What you will need from the kitchen:

MIXING

Carefully pour 70 ml or 5 tablespoons of hand-hot water into your clean bottle per pouch of Natural Colour Works™ H20 Water Colour. Don’t over dilute.
Add all the H20 Water Colour powder into your bottle and screw on the lid tight.
Give it a good old vigorous shake for at least 10 seconds until you can’t hear liquid sploshing around anymore. Great for the arms and you now have a bottle of H20 Water Colour foam.

FULL HEADERS

If this is your first time using Natural Colour Works™ H20 Water Colour, or your hair is completely faded out and showing no signs of regrowth, we’d recommend a full head treatment.

Start with clean, dry hair that’s been washed with a clarifying shampoo. Don’t use conditioner or 2-in-1 products.
Apply a barrier cream or Vaseline to the hairline and ears before colouring to help reduce staining.
Wearing water resistant gloves (either ours or your own) pour your Natural Colour Works™ H20 Water Colour foam into a stain resistant bowl and using your tint brush for life apply foam to your roots at roughly 1 cm intervals.
Give any grey an extra thick covering and massage the left-over foam through the rest of the length of your hair evenly.
Pile your hair up on top and cover with your Reusable Cap making sure to fix it tightly to prevent any drips or hair drying out.
Leave it on for 90 minutes, then rinse the foam out of your hair until the water runs clear.
Use your usual shampoo to wash and rinse again, then apply your conditioner as usual, rinse, style, and you’re good to go.

GETTING TO THE ROOTS

If you’ve used Natural Colour Works™ H20 Water Colour before and are looking to touch up the roots and boost that glossy shine, follow these simple steps.

Start with clean, dry hair that’s been washed with a clarifying shampoo. Don’t use conditioner or 2-in-1 products.
Wearing water resistant gloves (either ours or your own) pour your Natural Colour Works™ H20 Water Colour foam into a stain resistant bowl and using your tint brush for life apply foam to your roots just to cover the regrowth. Apply it thickly to grey hair and be careful not to go over your last application. Hold onto the rest of the foam for later and pile your hair up on top with a clip. Cover with your Reusable Cap making sure to fix it tightly to prevent any drips or hair drying out.
Leave it on for 90 minutes, then apply the remaining foam through the rest of your hair, recover with your Reusable Cap and leave for another 15 minutes.
Rinse the foam out of your hair until the water runs clear. Use your usual shampoo to wash and rinse again, then apply your conditioner as usual, rinse, style, and you’re good to go.

Lovely product

These are lovely products, I've been using them for a while. I like the fact that they are easy to use as long as you set enough time aside and that you don't get that awful strong chemical smell that comes with the usual packet dyes. The result is softer and think and seems to blend well as it fades a little when new growth come in

Great, very easy to use and looks natural but with good coverage.
The colour is a bit darker than the picture but that’s what I wanted. Doesn’t seem to do any damage to my hair and the colour gradually fades away in a natural way. Make sure you buy enough, I had to order 3 sachets to fully cover my thick hair.

Thank you for your tip on ordering enough, each colour pouch is enough for short hair or roots, but if you've got long or thick hair you definitely need extra! We've got a little graphic to guide on the colour pages or happy for people to pop us a photo to check. So delighted it's working well for you!

No going back

My hair looks in really good condition and very natural , with sun streaks . It is fun ! have never liked hair of a mono colour To avoid brassy overtones but keep the warm tint , I add a little medium ash blonde to the mix if there has been a lot of sun . If I curl my hair the streaks are emphasised and everyone likes them. I am an older with greying hair so it is challenging to fix on a colour that suits my skin colour and is not too harsh or uniform. I have fine medium length hair and tend to use about half a sachet for my roots rather than a whole head application .i probably redo the roots more frequently in the summer. It took a little time to find the best shades . I spend on professional cutting rather than colouring and the salon - a prestigious upmarket international company that boasts natural products - are complimentary about my hair and its condition. Whereas previously I used a French hair colourant - I worked in France for 11 years - and they thought it dried my hair . I live near the sea on an island so my hair gets exposure to rigorous weather. I use natural products wherever possible in all areas of life and switched to Natural Colour works after having a carcinoma removed from my face. .

My hair was getting dryer as I used shop bought hair colours. I wanted to use a more natural hair colour on my hair but I was nervous using something else. But I did and so glad I did. My hair feels like I had in my 20’s. I have thick shoulder length hair and do need 2 packets but so worth it.

Excellent Hair Colour for Blending away Greys

Excellent Product for my menopausal, fine hair! The condition of my hair feels great and the coverage is very natural….. not brassy or artificial at all. My new go to product to cover/blend away my greys ! The colour has made my greys feel conditioned and soft (even 2 weeks after applying !) which is a very welcome treat ! Used twice now

Used twice now, 4 weeks apart. Very happy with the result. My natural colour is mousey brown with a fair bit of white now. Been high/low lighting it for decades and noticed the condition deteriorated in the latter years. Saw advert for natural colour works and decided to try it. It had a little reddish tinge (like strawberry blonde) when first done which disappeared after first wash, condition great. Colour fades gradually with each wash so no harsh line. A real game changer for covering the white hair while leaving the rest.

Covers well

Covers well but I just wish you did a dark brown with less red in it
Cool in colour not warm

Our 3/0 is from the standard 'neutral' shades (that's what the 0 after the 3 means) then they either go warmer or cooler from that point. We just have that one in the depth of colour which is the 3, but it's something we can definitely take into consideration for the future. We really appreciate this, thanks so much for sharing Sally.
