OUR ROOTS

The seeds of Natural Colour Works Organic Salon were sown over 20 years ago when both co-founders, Scott Carey and Bradley Evans lived overseas. Scott embraced the Australian lifestyle for healthier living while Bradley immersed himself in Hong Kong’s organic product culture.

Our roots are firmly placed in the philosophy, that beauty should be cruelty-free, gentle to your hair and scalp, as well as to the skin of our precious colleagues and open to all. 

We are committed to eradicating virgin plastic from our business, developing and sourcing the best possible products to reduce our impact on the planet.

SCOTT CAREY

Scott has always believed great hair care starts with really listening. When his wife's fine hair became fragile during perimenopause, he created our gentle Shea collection to help. Known for his fine highlights and personalised cut and colour, Scott understands hair is about how you feel, not just how it looks.

Clients travel to him from across the country and overseas, with many turning to him online for advice too. He's always looking to develop new techniques and products focused on hair and scalp health that truly perform.

BRADLEY EVANS

For Bradley, great style starts with confidence from the inside out. His holistic approach to hair and wellbeing comes from his own commitment to a balanced lifestyle, with a strong interest in health and fitness that fuels the care and energy he brings to every appointment.

Known for his keen eye for detail and a natural talent for truly understanding his clients, Bradley listens closely to what each person really wants. Every appointment feels personal and collaborative, tailored to the individual, leaving clients feeling like the best version of themselves.

Creative Stylist Chiara

CHIARA

Originally from Sardinia, Chiara believes colour should feel as good as it looks. Trained in Italy and retrained with our Natural Colour Works products, she brings real technical expertise and a passion for fine, natural-looking highlights and excellent blow-drying. She stays on top of the latest trends, always delivering gentle colour and a glossy, healthy shine.

Chiara takes time to understand each client, so every result reflects who they are and leaves them feeling confident.

Creative Stylist Alicia

STYLIST

ALICIA

Alicia is our go-to for hair up, with a keen eye for detail and a real talent for cutting and colouring. She loves the nourishing, biodynamic products we use at the salon and what they let her create.

Trained in Peru and London's West End, she's known for beautiful balayage and for listening closely to what each client wants, so every appointment feels personal.

Online Creative & Community

JUSTINE

Justine has spent 21 years working with architects, designers and manufacturers around the world as a colour specialist and continues that work today.

Married to Scott, she also supports the NCW team through her own experience with her hair in perimenopause, connecting with our community and shaping our online creative content, while also driving our push towards sustainability and reducing waste in our packaging.

Chief Cuddler

RHODA

Rhoda oversees our online shop with unmatched enthusiasm and the occasional treat break. She pops into the salon now and then, mostly for moral support and red colour inspiration.
